Badia di Morrona
Chianti I Sodi del Paretaio
Red Wine
Chianti is, for the entire world, unquestionably the most famous ltalian wine of all. The Gaslini Alberti have contributed to the quality of this appellation, producing "I Sodi del Paretaio Riserva", a typical expression of this wine. The Sangiovese grape is lord and master, as it is the only variety utilized. Eighteen months of aging in 685 gallon (2600 liter) oak casks have rounded off the angles and the tannins, giving the wine an admirable balance both in terms of aroma and flavor. A pleasurable freshness on the nose with notes of red fruit. Soft and pleasurable on the palate as well, with ripe and elegant tannins.
Food Pairing: Ideal with salami and other cold cuts, red meat, and game.
