The 2013 Secateurs Chenin Blanc, which comes from bush vines planted on granite slopes, has a pleasant, simple bouquet with dried lemon peel, a touch of marzipan and lime flower that is well-defined. The palate is well-balanced with a slight viscosity on the opening, but the feisty acidity then kicks in and lends the middle and finish satisfying tension and vibrancy. There is a pleasant bitter lemon twist on the aftertaste that drags you back for another sip. Great value - as always. Drink now.

This bounces along, delivering a range of yellow apple, green melon, pear, chamomile and salted butter notes that all take turns strutting their stuff. Fresh and engaging through the finish. Drink now. 12,000 cases made.
